Information on the division of responsibilities between SHEIN and the seller
This document applies to sales made through the platform https://de.shein.com/. The platform is operated by Infinite Styles Services Co., Ltd., with registered office at 2nd Floor, 1-2 Victoria Buildings, Haddington Road, Dublin 4, Dublin, D04 XN32, Ireland ( "SHEIN").
The products sold on the SHEIN platform are offered by the respective sellers, each of whom is a professional merchant operating a business (the "Seller"). The name and contact details of the respective seller are provided on the product detail page of the respective product.
When you purchase a product on the SHEIN platform, several parties are involved, namely the seller and SHEIN. Below is a summary of how responsibilities are divided between the seller and SHEIN:
Purchase contract and product liability
(1) The seller is the one selling the product and is a party to the purchase contract;
(2) The purchase contract creates a binding agreement between the customer and the seller. SHEIN is not a party to the purchase contract. The seller is ultimately responsible for the performance of the purchase contract;
(3) The seller is also responsible for:
(i) the accurate description of the product; and
(ii) the conformity of the product with the contract.
Fulfilment and delivery
(4) Except in cases where the seller opts for self-fulfilment (in which case the seller is responsible for shipping and delivery, including compliance with the service standards imposed by SHEIN), order fulfilment for the seller is handled by a company of the SHEIN Group.
(5) SHEIN enters into contracts with local third-party providers who carry out the deliveries on behalf of SHEIN.
Platform services
(5) SHEIN operates the online marketplace and provides the following services:
(i) hosting the platform, including providing online services on the platform;
(ii) managing your SHEIN account;
(iii) online payment processing (via a third-party payment service provider) on behalf of the seller and issuing refunds in the event of a product return. Any declaration of withdrawal must be submitted by the customer to SHEIN; and
(iv) providing customer service as the first point of contact for post-purchase inquiries.
Returns and refunds
(6) SHEIN facilitates the return process and issues refunds on behalf of the seller, as follows:
(i) SHEIN users initiate returns with SHEIN, as set out in the Terms and Conditions and the Return Policy ;
(ii) If the product was manufactured by a company of the SHEIN Group, SHEIN is responsible for handling customer service matters related to returns and refunds;
(iii) All returned products should be shipped in accordance with the instructions provided by SHEIN (see our Terms and Conditions and the Return Policy).
Complaints and customer service
(7) SHEIN is responsible for handling complaints, therefore consumer complaints should be submitted directly to SHEIN through SHEIN customer service, acting on behalf of the seller;
(8) SHEIN will either resolve the issue directly or coordinate with the seller;
(9) If the seller and the customer cannot reach a resolution, SHEIN may intervene and offer a solution, which may also include a goodwill refund.
